Hi, my name is Teresa; I’m an experienced masseuse specializing in deep tissue massage. In addition, internationally trained Indian Head massage, Usui Ryoho Reiki (Master level), Balinese massage, Hot Stones, Facial massage, London trained ITEC & BTEC Holistic Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Pregnancy massage.

Originally from Papua New Guinea and educated in Australia, a side-trip to Thailand many years ago sparked a passion for travel that hasn’t stopped and currently sees me living in London. After extensive travel and working in hospitality, charities and the corporate sector, my priorities began to shift in 2002 after receiving my first massage. I then completed my first massage course resulting in my passion for bodywork and energy therapies. It inspired me to immerse myself in studying and practicing various traditions of massage full time over the last 4 years.

I’m privileged to have studied with amazing teachers and learnt from many inspirational clients around the world: everyone from musicians, celebrities, athletes to domestic goddesses. Each experience is personalized to incorporate one or many techniques to maximize relaxation, release tension and increase overall well being. I’m prepared to travel, commit to a dedicated programme or one off session.

On a personal level I love to dance, attend music festivals and embrace all life has to offer when experiencing new cultures and adventures.

Dr. Dot inspired me to integrate all my skills and passion into supporting artists, creative minded people and anyone who needs respite from the day to day grind. I’m very happy to be part of her global team.

My name is Andrew and I’m a qualified massage therapist from Australia.

Born and bread in Melbourne, I discovered the benefits of massage a few years back while working the 9-5 office job. The impact that massage had on me physically and mentally changed my life, and led me to jump in and learn this amazing craft, so that I could share it’s benefits with others.

I have since graduated from the Australian College of Massage and gained experience working in deep tissue, relaxation, and aromatherapy massage through my own mobile massage business. For me, massage has several rewards. It gives me the chance to connect with people to help in the healing process, and it gives me enjoyment seeing the immediate satisfaction that massage can bring.

I’ve been living in Manchester for 6 months now, and being a part of Dr. Dot’s team gives me the chance to combine massage with my other passion – music. Having played in a band for 9 years, I know the stress that constant touring and performing can have on a person, both physically and mentally. It’s this awareness that I bring to my role on Dr Dot’s team. Whether it’s a pre-show loosen up, or a post-show wind down, my healing hands are here to help. I therefore consider myself a fortunate member of the team, as I know what it’s like to be in your shoes!

But I’m not restricted to massaging backstage at gigs. I also do call outs to hotels, homes and other events. Name the place and I’ll be there.

My name is Mariam, I'm French and I've been living in Barcelona for a couple month. I've been introduced to Reiki in 2004 which opened my mind to traditional Chinese medicine: I then enrolled the "Institut CHUZHEN" for a 3 year full time course. This school is the most famous and well-recognized in France, the only one offering a full time 3-years course that fully trained me to acupuncture and tuina. Tuina is a therapeutic massage based on the body's meridian, using acupuncture points. Thereafter I completed my massage course with a Sensitive Gestalt Massage training which led me to specialize myself in relaxation massage.

Hello, my name is Annette and I live in Hamburg since 1989.

In the nineties I went to university to become a teacher. In this time I worked in different venues as a security or at the cash-desk and went on tour being the merchandiser. I really enjoyed these jobs because I always loved music! But I had to stop this after my daughter was born in '95.

In 1999 I started an education in alternative medicine (in german: Heilpraktikerin) and specialised myself in homeopathy and massage. When I give massages I use deep tissue massage, medical massage, triggerpoints, Shiatsu, Acupressure or a mixture of all to achieve the best individual results in accordance with the needs of my clients. I always do my best and follow the, even nonverbal, communication between my hands and the person on my massage table. So every treatment is different from strong and deep to soft and relaxing or something in between.

For two years I worked in a clinic for Osthopathy, Chiropractics and medical massage where I gave strong massages the whole day long with no chance to get tired – it is just a question of technique!

In may 2009 I set up my own little clinic for homeopathy and massage in Hamburg St.Pauli and later a friend told me about the Dr. Dot team. So now I am very happy to be part of this team because for me it is the perfect way to be back into the "music-world" with doing what I really enjoy.

I feel so fortunate to be able to touch people's lives in a positive way through massage therapy. I truly believe in the healing benefits of massage!

I wasn't always a therapist, however. In my former career, I was a middle school teacher! (I definitely have a first hand understanding of the pain and muscle tension that accompany job related stress!). I have been incredibly lucky in my career as I worked as an International Art Director for a worldwide hairdressing company, where I had fantastic opportunities to travel the world and do educational seminars, Photo shoots, and fashion shows. I really wanted to use some of my communication skills so I trained and became a NLP Practioner where I focused on my next passion which was sports. I trained and became a personal trainer and sports massage therapist which has opened doors to another great career path even to giving me the confidence to entering the world of mixed wrestling and now working as part of the Dr. Dot team.
