Rebekah: New York State Licensed massage therapist since 1997, Shiatsu practitioner, other massage modalities; myofascial, sports/dance/performer injury, tui na and craniosacral. Also a reiki master, previously:teacher at New York College – medical massage and Swedish massage. Activities include martial arts and teaching/practicing yoga. Currently reside in Paris, France.
My massage team has been massaging SMB for almost 3 years and this is the first time I got to meet and massage him. He was SO nice and when he walked into the massage room he was so full of praise, saying so many kind things, like “you got a great team, you run a tight ship, all of your girls have been terrific, I feel so much better on tour with them massaging me, etc.
He told me SO many amazing stories during his two hour massage- told me about hanging out with Hendrix and headlining for the Grateful Dead (the dead opened, then SMB played then Jimi- wow!) he also played a show once in Minnesota where Alice Cooper opened for them and said it was one of Alice’s first show and how the crowd didn’t know how to react with Alice. He just ate dinner the other night with Alice and told me just for fun they traded watches (they both collect them). He is just a nice guy, wow.
The show was, to my surprise, 90% BLUES!! He played Come On (which in my opinion was made famous by Jimi Hendrix) and many other great blues tunes- naturally he played his hits but you can tell he would just enjoy playing blues all night 🙂

It has been a long time since I have massaged Steven (Aerosmith ) Tyler, so it was GREAT seeing him again and massage him again. He is by far one of my favorites to work on. He is so positive and fun, I am pretty sure anyone who knows him, loves him. His girlfriend Erin got a massage the next day too. They were both VERY pleased with their massages, so I have been told over and over again by his assistant.
Steven insisted on tying this scarf on me himself for the picture. He said "I know how to do scarves" haha. He is so fun! He lives ROCK and ROLL. Some stars dress and act one way on stage and act differently off the stage. With Steven, it's like this, he is exactly like he appears to be, a free spirit with a wild way about him, it's not an act, he is that way. So fucking cool!

Hejsan! My name is Petra, and I am born and raised in Sweden but lived in USA (mostly California) for 17 years, and what first brought me to California was my love for music. I did work in the music biz for a while, meeting many wonderful people.
After a car accident in 2002, I had to go to a chiropractor and get massage therapy since I had severe pain in my left shoulder and arm. I got completely healed and it struck me how happy all the clients were when they left the clinic, and I thought to myself – that’s what I want to do, I want to have a job that makes people happy! So I took my training in 2003 in California and has worked as a massage therapist ever since. I am working both with private clients and going out to companies.
I strongly believe in the body-mind connection, so I try to see the whole picture when working with my clients, and use a very intuitive style wether the client wants a deep treatment for specific problems or just a relaxing moment. I also work with essential oils, since they can often enhance the healing effects of the massage.
The massages I offer are, Deep tissue, Swedish, Aroma, Honey healer, and my favourite – Hot Stone massage.
Working with Dr. Dot is the perfect way to combine two of my favourite things – music and helping people!

Born and raised in NYC, Shanti now lives in San Francisco. Trained in different corners of the globe, she has an eclectic background of studies she uses in her massage work. Acupressure, reflexology, Swedish, Chinese Medicine studied at a graduate level, and a Master's in Somatic Psych (which is the nitty gritty connection of mind-body-psyche) are all integrated into her practice. Really able to tune into a client, Shanti has a holistic approach specifically tailored to the individual's unique needs.
Due to her skills, Shanti has also worked and been hired for her special touch to help out with feral, undersocialized, aggressive and frightened animals and has been successful in getting animals especially felines comfortable and craving human touch. She also puts abandoned shelter dogs at ease with massage.
Touch is powerful and grounding and is often what is missing when we are running around so stressed on the road or in our daily lives making a living. She has worked with humans and animals in these modalities for over a decade….
I have sad news. Kit, one of our beloved Dot Bots, based in Calgary Canada was killed by a motorist while on her bike. I had a feeling something happened to her as it was very unlike her not to respond to emails. unfortunately my suspicions were true. I came across this link:

I like to meet and trade massages with everyone on my team so when Alice, one of my Atlanta Dot Bots told me she would be in NYC when I landed, we agreed she would pick me up from airport and sleep over a few nights so we can get to know each other. Alice is a fitness trainer and Licensed Massage therapist. She loves to dress very girly when she isn’t working. She doesn’t smoke or drink either and eats VERY healthy so we have a lot in common. When she told me she loves to sing and enjoys karaoke, well, then I asked her to stay one more night so we could go sing..
Here is Alice belting out a Heart song called ‘Alone’. She nailed it! It was fantastic. LOVE karaoke but being completely sober at a karaoke bar has it’s drawbacks. So many drunks hitting on us and talking SHIT. We both sang two songs then went home. I sang “You sexy Thang” by Hot Chocolate and also Do ya think I’m sexy by Rod Stewart. Aida also sang an Evanesense (sp?) song but I didn’t know it.
Going to a book release party tomorrow (er, today actually as it’s already 6am) for a book I contributed to called The Heavy Metal book of Lists. Should be a kick ass party. They want me to come dressed as “Dr. Dot” so I gotta get my nurse costume out and dust it off. Will take pics

I am a small town girl born into a family of country musicians. I grew up listening to Hank Williams Sr., Ray Price, Johnny Cash and my grandma belt out Ernest Tubbs’ ‘Waltz across Texas ’. My fondest childhood memories include listening to my dad play the steel guitar and my brother sing and play guitar on the back porch, family jam sessions! Country music will always have a place in my heart, but as I got older I explored my tastes in music and realized that I truly love good music from all genres!

My name is Katja (pronounced Cat-ya). Already from child's legs I massaged with pleasure and had the feeling to be able to do my person by my touches of property. In 2005 I began the education in the certificate sports-and wellness masseuse in the accredited technical school "artofbalance" in Frankfurt which I in 2008 successfully closed.
I adapt my massage always to the needs of the respective client. It is discussed before which pressure quality is welcome. For me massage is more than kneading, spannings solve and exercise technologies. My massage is a touch at all levels: Body, mind, and soul. The hands are the tools of the soul.
