Hello,

I was born in Russia, where I had also studied. I graduated with a degree as a P.E. Teacher, and qualified as a Coach in Sport, Physiotherapy and Remedial Massage Therapy, which includes: Swedish, Deep tissue massage, Cupping, Shiatsu, Acupressure, and Reflexology. My qualifications were approved (I am a member of the ‘LCSP’ the Register of Remedial Masseurs and Manipulative Therapists) in England.

At the time of studying, I had a career in professional sport gymnastics and rowing, eventually working as a coach in a professional Canoe Club; however I soon realized that my passion was in treating people with physiotherapy and massage.

I worked with the Russian National Women’s Volleyball team, as a physiotherapist in the neurology department at hospital, and for the Lithuanian National Rowing Team, whilst also building my private practice. In England I worked for the Leyton Orient Football Club, in a Sport Injury Clinic and continued in my practice.

My interests include art, music, tourism and healthy living.

I have an extensive background as a group fitness instructor, one-on-one personal trainer, and health club owner. Besides loving massage and being a fitness enthusiast, I love animals! In my spare time, I volunteer with my three certified therapy dogs (Dobermans) doing pet assisted therapy working with terminally ill children and adults. It is not always easy, but it is very rewarding, knowing that we (myself and the dog) can alleviate fear or just bring happiness to a sick, scared or lonely child. In conclusion, it is my goal to use my talent, experience and knowledge (and strong hands) to make you feel better.

My name is Jessica and I was born to do bodywork and hands on healing. It all started in my first year of college when I was impelled to have friends come over to my dorm room for massage and energy work; I just had to do it for it was as therapeutic for me as it was for them. I have always received a tremendous amount of pure enlightened bliss from tapping in and giving the body what it needs, releasing burdensome stress, pain and discomfort. I finally started to do massage professionally several years later and it has truly changed my life! It is a blessing to do what I do.

With a background of 15 years in competitive gymnastics I have a huge “one-up” when it comes to understanding the anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology of the body. The body being one harmonious organism, often it takes a deep intuition and experience to approach the issues that arise for us (usually pain and discomfort are the result of more than just the target area). I use a variety of techniques in deep tissue, myofascial release, sports/therapeutic/stretching, and more subtle energy work to get the chi flowing and the body back to how it should be and wants to be, naturally.

As well as a love for and devotion to bodywork, I am driven by art and music, both as an appreciator and participant. From making clothing to throwing pottery, writing lyrics and singing to making music with whatever instruments are around, I could never get bored or out of inspiration! My father and grandmother were professional musicians and came from a long line of professors of music so working with Dr. Dot is like the fulfillment of a dream. I can bridge my two passions and give back to the people who give me the most, who I consider the most powerful and influential people of our times, the musicians.

I am nationally certified and licensed in massage and bodywork and can be booked for shows and hotel calls in Denver and the surrounding areas.

 Hello everyone! My name is Tanisha and I would love to be your massage therapist.  Ive recently moved from Oakland to Fayetteville, North Carolina after visiting North Carolina last summer.  I liked it so much I decided to come back to stay!  I grew up in the Central Coast, Monterey area. I later moved to the Oakland Bay Area, and graduated from National Holistic Institute in Emeryville, California in 1997.  I have been practicing as a massage therapist ever since.

 

I’ve worked throughout the Monterey area, as well as the San Francisco/ Oakland Bay Area. I have a son who struggles with chronic, sometimes extreme pain issues, and I have become fascinated with the field of addressing pain without medication.

My specialty is deep tissue. I can really get into the back/ neck area.  I consider myself a nook and cranny therapist, because I don’t run from “hard to get in” places. I look for them, and get them to open up. I am capable of “off the chart” type of pressure, or if you need a lighter touch, I can deliver either way. I've worked in the “foofy” spa environment, as well as a more rehabilitative environment, and enjoy both.

I use a combination of Swedish, Shiatsu and Acupressure/ trigger point therapy. I can also use hot stones and other heat therapies at your request. My years of deep tissue training can be included in every massage. When given the time, I can deep tissue your whole body.

Each session starts light, and graduates to as deep as you need it. It becomes more purposeful to release tension layer by layer. I can be effective in short periods of time, but of course, I work best in longer sessions of 75 minutes or longer.

When I heard about Dr. Dot, I thought having a chance to work on entertainers and artists is a wonderful opportunity. I'm glad I qualified for this highly talented team. Nothing better than to give to people that give to the public by providing great entertainment, and memory making music.

I also specialize in Oncology Massage. I work with one of the Cancer Treatment Center's Wellness Program here in S.A., and have been for the past 10 years.
