Jasmine left today back to Germany. She was supposed to leave last night, but when we got to the airport, she couldn’t find her ticket, so after a few hysterical screaming matches between everyone involved, we headed back to the city to see Rachel again real quick then out to eat at one of my favorite places 44X10th (it’s called that because, you guessed, it’s on the corner of 44th and 10th). We had tons of fun and ate a really naughty chocolate thing my friend David(the manager) insisted we eat. He is gay like most of the staff and they always want me to eat (get fat so there are more men for them I assume) . He also gave us this peanut butter/brownie thing at the same time, pure torture. But it was free, so we weren’t not complaining
Perhaps it sounds boring to you, but we watched Animal Planet until 5am. I saw her off to the airport today and since then I feel really sad and empty. I will see her in a month as I am planning a tiny tour of Europe and will naturally stay with her in Berlin for a few weeks. I want to go to Liverpool and Dublin and I hope Jasmine can join me in Liverpool so I can show her Strawberry Fields and Menlove avenue , Eleanor Rigby’s grave stone , Penny Lane and all the
Beatles sites. Even though I have been there a few times already, it’s never enough. I love the place. Ok, she is gone now, but here are a few pictures left behind from last Tuesday night.
Jonesy & Jasmine Jasmine, Jonesy & Rachel
It wasn’t easy finding a place to do karaoke with the girls, but we did. They didn’t even card them! Rachel sings like a PRO! People just stop, stare and listen in amazement.
We actually went out for karaoke two nights in a row and found several places that look the other way when young cute girls come in, underage or not. On one hand, that was a good thing, as we could all hang together and sing, on the other hand, I had to act as body guard and wonder what will happen when I’m not around YIKES!
^ Me, Jasmine, Jonesy and Rachel at ‘Hooks and Ladders’ which has karaoke on Tues nights. ^ Rachel belting out “Son of a Preacher Man”
This song is for Jasmine:
The long and winding road
That leads to your door
Will never disappear,
I’ve seen that road before.
It always leads me here
Lead me to your door
The wild and windy night
That the rain washed away
Has left a pool of tears
Crying for the day,
Why leave me standing here,
Let me know the way.
Many times I’ve been alone
And many times I’ve cried,
Anyway you’ll never know
The many ways I’ve tried but
Still they lead me back
To the long winding road,
You left me standing here
A long long time ago,
Don’t leave me waiting here,
Lead me to your door
