Hi, it´s David from Berlin!
born in the oil crisis of ´73 i grew up in a huge jazz´n´krautrock´n´hippie community in Bavaria.
i started playing music myself with 13 in some punk and jazz and jazzpunk outfits and it made me a funny living and touring life till i decided moving to Berlin in 1999 🎶 where i started working as a local promoter and then running several nice concert venues (Kato, Lido, Astra Kulturhaus, e.g.) for the next twenty years.
in this period (2004?) i met Dr. Dot for the first time, thinking what a cool person she was and what a cool job she did.
however…a 24/7 on fire work-passion that also took it’s tribute and ended in serious depression and burn-out situations in hospital.
back in 2018 i cancelled this lifestyle and luckily found massage and bodywork as an anchor for me (besides seeing my therapist for many years).
i quickly realized that not only the people i treated liked it and the benefits i give a lot.. also i got more and more connected to myself, my body and finally my beautiful soul again.
so with sweet lil 50 i dared to start my first Ausbildung as an MMB (medical massage therapist).
for good reasons i skipped the final exams as i never wanted to work in the official health system and give 20 minute massages assembly-line-style.
instead i opened my private massage salon where i treat my steadily growing circle of people, clients and friends and (as i am still connected to the music biz peeps) from time to time some backstage jobs, which made my think of Dot again a few weeks ago.
and so…here i am 🙂
