Previously working in education as an art teacher, I experienced first hand how stress and tension can lead to an unhealthy lifestyle. Wanting to make a difference and enable people to live a calmer life I decided to retrain as a Massage Therapist. I then managed a Spa for several years before going freelance.  I now work with private clients in and around the South West using my expertise in Deep Tissue Massage, Ayurvedic Techniques, Advanced Hydrotherm, Trigger Point Massage, Indian Head, Thai Foot and Reflex Massage, Hot Stone, Swedish, Facelift Massage and Reiki. I am a very intuitive Therapist and Healer, with the skills to listen to a clients needs and expectations. I provide a complete treatment, taking into account the whole person, working with clients on an emotional as well as physical level. I love to travel and take inspiration for my practise from the places and cultures I visit. My other passion is music and experiencing the energy of live performances. Having the opportunity to represent Dr Dot has been the perfect way to combine my creative interests. I have great integrity and a calm energy to be around, with the focus to provide my clients with an exceptional treatment and experience.

Massage in Montreal Canada

Hi everyone!

I’m Jodi and I have been blessed to be following a path throughout the healing arts for over 15 years. While living on the beautiful west coast of  Canada I attained my massage certification while working with athletes in the area of sport medicine and studying kinesiology,  with this experience I continued my studies and went on to attain my bachelor of science in physiotherapy,  and further completed 2 years of postgraduate work  in medical acupuncture.  I have 10 years of experience working  in private practice setting with all kinds of clients, injuries, and imbalances.

With this background I have built a solid understanding and knowledge of the human body and healing from both a western and eastern perspective. This, combined with my hands innate natural intuition, enables me to easily and effortlessly seek out any “hidden dragons” or relieve or relax any tensions whether new or 20+ years old! No words are necessary! My techniques can range from deep, deep , deep did I mention deep and yes sometimes somewhat painful ( the good painโ˜บ – of course) to silently deep, painless and powerful, often bringing profound changes quickly, it all depends on the individual!

NO two massages are the same!

These techniques include:
• Advanced training in Manual Therapy  • Advanced training in Myofascial Release Techniques • Active Release Therapy (ART) • Positional Release • Trigger Point Therapy • Advanced Deep Tissue Massage • Sport Massage
• Advanced Training in Energetic Release and Balancing • Craniosacral Techniques • Osteopathic Techniques • Emotional Release Techniques • Body Talk  •  Breakthrough Techniques • Reiki

As love and life has now brought me to the east coast to live in this beautiful city of Montréal,  it has also brought me the great opportunity to work as part of Dr. Dot’s amazing team of massage therapist! What better way to combine the things you love massage, healing, music and travel!

When passion is shared only great things can happen!

Please email me at info@drdot.com and put "Jodi/Montreal" in the subject line and will get back to you right away to book your treatment.

I look forward to massaging you, your crew, your family, your friends and anyone else you want to bring along!

Massage in Tampa Florida

Hi everyone, I’m Suzanne a native Floridian, licensed for 18 years. My specialties include Neuromuscular Therapy, Reflexology, Sports Stretching, Myofascial Release, Corporate Chair, and Pregnancy Massage.

I grew up outdoors around water and was often called a hippie tomboy. I played many sports growing up and have a B.S. in Wellness Leadership from USF, Tampa. While there I excelled in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Athletic Injury Management, Personal Training, Lifeguarding, and Martial Arts. After graduating, I enrolled in Massage Therapy School.

For 4 years I dated a bar bouncer that worked at an awesome, yet intimate concert venue called Jannus Landing. I was blessed to see hundreds of shows and often had access to the VIP areas, interacting with some fabulous artists. That relationship ended but the dream of massaging bands began.

My first encounter with a musician happened in October 1991. The head security/manager for Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers chased after me, table in tow, after leaving a hotel job. He said I looked strong and then begged me to follow their bus to the Sundome, watch them perform backstage, and end up the hotel for an all-nighter. Did I hear him right? I worked until 5 am on Ziggy and several family members. I was 21, in awe and just got paid handsomely to help a favorite band. In 1997 I had the opportunity to work on Pantera; they were playing on UCF’s campus and needed massages before the show. I had never heard of them before but will never forget the experience. It rekindled my passion to work on musicians.

At the same time my career in Sports massage took off and I began collaborating with Doctors, Physical Therapists, and Chiropractors, specializing in Medical massage and Rehab Exercise. Over the span of my career I have worked on collegiate athletes, numerous Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Beach Volleyball Pros, Triathletes, Orlando Magic Players, Golfers, a RAAM rider, and even a Gator Wrestler!

My musical influences run the gamut. Long family car trips were spent listening to Barbara Streisand, Bette Midler, Neil Diamond and Kenny Rogers. My parents LOVE show tunes. My first concerts attended were Adam Ant and the Stray Cats. Soon after, Uncle Roger took us to see Bruce Springsteen at the Miami Rose Bowl, 4th row, Born in the USA tour! Need I say more? Some of my favorite artists include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ministry, Janes Addiction, Depeche Mode, The Police, U2, Bob Marley, Enigma, Sarah McLachlan, Seal, Dead Can Dance, Kitaro, R.Carlos Nakai, and MOST OF ALL the Dave Matthews Band.

I recently stumbled onto Dot’s website and I answered her call for Therapists in my area. I was honored to audition for her team and amazed to see my dream come to fruition. I can’t wait to meet you and spread the healing power of touch. I am able and willing to travel.

If you email me at info@drdot.com and put "Suzanne/FLA" in subject line, I will be able to set up an appointment for you. See you soon

Massage in Manchester England

Hi my name is Karen and I live in the fantastic city of Manchester of which I am very proud and where I work full time as a Holistic Therapist. My career as a Massage Therapist started several years ago when I decided that I wanted the skills to be able to make people feel as amazing as I felt after receiving a massage treatment.

I have lots of qualifications in massage from Deep Tissue, Advanced Swedish, Sports Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Shiatsu and Acupressure Massage to Indian Head Massage, Holistic Facial Massage, Hot Stones Massage Therapy and Thai Priadara Style Massage. I am also a qualified practitioner in Reflexology, Reiki, and Hopi Ear Candle Therapy and Counselling Concepts.

I believe being able to perform a good massage is a gift. It's not just about the qualifications you have on paper but how you carry out these skills you have gained, how much you put into each treatment and how you treat each individual client as if they were your only client in the world. I take a holistic approach to my treatments and I work intuitively with each client to ensure each massage is tailor made to your requirements. Whether it’s a Hand or Foot Massage, a Head or Back Massage or a Full Body Massage, I will incorporate all different aspects of my training, giving you an amazing massage treatment. I have lots of experience and a great reputation as a Massage Therapist with regular clients that include Doctors, Physiotherapists, Orthopaedic Surgeons, Sports and Fitness Instructors, TV Presenters and the occasional Rock Superstar!

I am very passionate about my work and I am so excited to be working for Dr. Dot as part of such a fantastic team. Giving me the opportunity to combine my love of music with the job I adore is a dream come true.

I look forward to meeting you next time you are in Manchester. You can book me directly at info@drdot.com  (put "Karen/Manchester" in the subject line please ๐Ÿ™‚

Massage in Sydney Australia

Hi , I'm Nikki. I have been a massage therapist since 2000.
My work is a combination of several different modalities, providing a massage that is both therapeutic and extremely relaxing. Taking techniques from Swedish, Deep tissue, Remedial, Lymphatic Drainage and sports massage, then adding energy work from Shiatsu, Reiki and integrative massage. I have developed my own style that is as unique as it is effective. I like to combine deeper techniques that really get the blood flowing with subtle, gentle techniques that allow the body to relax. Also, I pride myself on my ability to tune into my client's tissues and feel the minute changes that occur there, enabling me to respond to the body rather than intruding on it. Each of my sessions is individually tailored to meet the client's needs.

If you want to book a massage with me, email me at info@drdot.com and put "Nikki/Sydney" in the subject line, thanks

Hi Folks

Andre' Cholmondeley here , from Project/Object, Adrian Belew Tours and more…….

I am proud to be doing some work for and with another of my all time favorite musicians/composers….I'm running Show Production for this one-night tour for  none other than EDDIE JOBSON, the violinist/keyboardist. Many of you first heard Eddie's work with King Crimson or, like me,  when I was 16 in a dorm room at Rutgers University, 1981…on ZAPPA IN NEW YORK….

Eddie is making his first return to the stage with his own music after almost 28 years (!!). He's been VERY busy in music — running a record company, producing, and scoring TV shows like Nash Bridges (100+ episodes), TV commercials, movies, etc. When he came off the road from the Jethro Tull Tour in 1981, he has not performed live except for a Bach Tribute with Tull in 1985, and the "Concert For Peace" and Moscow concert in Aug/Sep 2008. You may have read my  blogs from those events….

Spread the word on this historic show!!! If you are ANYWHERE near NYC , do not miss this!! The opening act (Tony Levin's new band!) will also be making their US premiere (read on). With people flying in from England, Europe, South Africa, all around the USA……you have no excuse!!!

Thanks! – Andre'

“The word ‘genius’ is bandied about a bit too freely these days, but in Jobson’s case, the term not only applies, it’s been used to describe him since his northern England childhood.” – EMMY Magazine

NEW YORK (Jan. 7, 2009) — Keyboard and electric-violin legend EDDIE JOBSON (U.K., Roxy Music, Frank Zappa, Jethro Tull) is returning in grand style from a self-imposed 27-year retirement to introduce UKZ, his new “Virtual Virtuoso” supergroup, with a world debut concert exclusive in New York City.

Anticipated by Ticket News as “one of contemporary music’s iconic performances” and attracting concertgoers from around the world, UKZ will begin and end its “One City World Tour” on Saturday, Jan. 24 at Town Hall, 123 W. 43rd St., NYC. Show time is 8 p.m. This rare concert event also will feature the U.S.debut of special guests Stick Men, featuring King Crimson’s Tony Levin and Pat Mastelotto. Tickets are $125, $95, $85 & $60 and on sale NOW through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com. For info, call the box office at 212.840.2824 or visit www.the-townhall-nyc.org.

In a state-of-the-art display of masterful musicianship that elevates the spirit of progressive music to the modern demands of younger new audiences, UKZ will be premiering compositions from its upcoming debut EP, RADIATION, set for release March 24 via Ryko Distribution. UKZ’s updated sound infuses the industrial edge and rhythmic aggression of bands from Tool to Nine Inch Nails, and it’s exemplified in the seven-minute video for the title track, which already has received over 5,000 hits in its first week on YouTube.

“New directions excite me,” says Jobson, “I decided a year-and-a-half ago that I still had more to say in the rock arena, and that the internet had allowed every aspect of that _expression to be approached in a new way. Everything with this band project has been self-produced, independent of the music-business machine.  I have created a real ‘player’ band of virtuosos and I am taking it straight to the people.”

A classically trained progressive-rock icon, Jobson assembled UKZ virtually by auditioning performances on YouTube. The result is a multi-generational “dream band” of world-class improvisers from all parts of the globe whose members are: Trey Gunn (American, a 10-year veteran of King Crimson and the leading exponent of the Warr 10-string touch guitar), Aaron Lippert (Belgian, former lead singer of Expanding Man), Alex Machacek (Austrian guitar prodigy, also in TERRY BOZZIO's OUT TRIO), and Marco Minnemann (German drum sensation, in several projects including with MIKE KENEALLY), with Eddie Jobson of course hailing from England/UK..

Jobson has spent much of his time away from band activity creating music for film and television. He’s been an integral contributor to movie and TV soundtracks, and also has earned several Clio awards for his commercial compositions.

More recently, he’s been the driving force behind the Bulgarian Women’s Choir, which he began working with 13 years ago while exploring new sounds for a reunion of U.K., the influential British supergroup. Jobson also runs Globe Media Arts, a music/video production company, music publishing company, and online store, including two indie labels for advanced musicians, Globe Music and Glo Digital.

“I have spent my life looking for new musical challenges,” he says. “The latest is in taking on the challenge of creating a truly contemporary rock environment for some of the world’s best players to exhibit their craft, while maintaining some level of accessibility.  So far, I am pleased with the results and I am looking forward to returning to live performance to share those results with fans from around the globe, in New York City — the capital of the world.  My hope is to move things forward — at least a little bit.”

Oasis sold out concert in Berlin

So glad I decided to come back to Berlin in time to see/massage Oasis. My flight, by the way, was HELL. Stupid me, went to airport in a rush, no food in belly and sat at a bar to check emails, felt guilty for not ordering anything and decided on a white wine. Tasted so good I had another. Barely made the flight (plane had closed its door) and once I got in and settled, that old "i'm gonna puke" feeling came to me. Plane was barely off the ground and I was yacking in the bathroom. I pretty much threw up every 30 minutes of the 8 hour flight. Took me a day to get over that but the jet lag is still here. But NOTHING would stop me from missing Oasis again (last time they played Berlin I missed my flight out of JFK airport, that's why I never use JFK anymore, I use Newark instead).

Anyways, it was SO FUCKING GREAT to see Liam and Noel again, haven't seen them for years. Noel, who I first met in 1993 when he was a guitar tech for a band I was massaging called the Inspiral Carpets , always says the same thing when he sees me "you used to have blonde hair, what happened?". LMFAO. I guess he loves blondes and when he first met me in 1993, I was indeed blonde. I have massaged them many times since 1993, but he still remembers that first time. So funny. In 1993 he kept coming into the massage room backstage at the Loft (name of venue) and kept saying "one day you will be massaging me, I will be a rock star soon". He wasn't fucking lyin that is for sho.

I always get a warm welcome when I walk backstage at a Oasis show as I wear my Man City foot ball jacket (which I got in 1994 when dating a Manc named Steve from Strettford (Manchester). The lads welcome me with open arms "that's a nice top that is" they say ๐Ÿ™‚

Liam is so fucking fun, I made him laugh so loud a few times, I love that. Making him CRACK UP is the bomb- his laugh is the best. Their new drummer, Chris Sharrock – who previously played with Liam's arch-rival Robbie Williams , remembered me from the last time he was in Berlin with Robbie.  Chris and Oasis is a great combo, he fits in perfectly and it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Chris is from Liverpool and says he is as big of a Beatles fan as I am. I burnt him George Harrison outtakes last time and mailed it to his home, this time I burnt the lads "Joe's Garage" a good starter kit for people who "have never head any Frank Zappa". I hope the listen to it on the bus and it doesn't end up in the trash or used as a beer mat.

Liam is looking FINE ^ as ever. SCHWING! Noel looked gorgeous too, but I didn't take a picture, in fact, I am PISSED off at myself as I forgot my fucking camera AGAIN. This is the third time (Paul Weller, President of Georgia and tonight, Oasis). WTF. I am surely getting Alzheimers or am still drunk from the flight. FOOK!! So my Blackberry had to do. The pics come out shitty, but they are better than nothing.

Above and directly below: Not taken with Blackberry

Another band from Manchester, Twisted Wheel   . They have a rather Punk edge to their sound. They LOVE the Clash, Sex Pistols, Buzzcocks and Oasis. Drummer is hip to Zappa. The singer is only 22 years old so he didn't know much Zappa (not that young folks don't know Zappa, but most don't, especially the Brits. Not many Brits I meet know Zappa.) The singer/guitarist is the one to the far right. I am sandwiched between him and the Drummer, Adam, dark green shirt. The blonde is Rick, the bass player. How fucking cute are these guys? Massaging them was an absolute pleasure. sigh.

So there is their set list ^  Click HERE to see Oasis tour dates

ps. Before I drag my aching bones into bed with Pooh, I had a silly thought whilst out power walking today. The NYC/Berlin comparisons never stop in my brain, and I thought, that song by Frank Sinatra about New York "If you can make it there you'll make it, anywhere" would be like this if it was about Berlin "If you CAN'T make it there, you won't make it anywhere". SO fucking easy to make a living in Berlin. Rent is SUPER cheap. You can walk everywhere. Hardly any pressure here at all to make ends meet. Had to laugh. If you can't make it here, forget it.

Ralf and the Hen

Ralph and the Hen

Ralph came home drunk one night, slid into bed beside his sleeping wife, and fell into a deep slumber.

He awoke before the Pearly Gates, where St.Peter said,

"You died in your sleep, Ralph."

Ralph was stunned.

"I'm dead? No, I can't be, I've got too much to live for. Send me back!"

St. Peter said, "I'm sorry, but there's only one way you can go back, and that is as a chicken."

Ralph was devastated, but begged St. Peter to send him to a farm near his home.

The next thing he knew, he was covered with feathers, clucking, and pecking the ground.

A rooster strolled past.

"So, you're the new hen, huh? How's your first day here?"

"Not bad." replied Ralph the hen, " but I have this strange feeling inside. Like I'm gonna explode!"

"You're ovulating" explained the rooster, ". obviously you've never laid an egg before.
Well, just relax and let it happen. It's no big deal." said the rooster.

Ralph did, and a few uncomfortable seconds later, out popped his first egg!

Ralph was overcome with emotion as he experienced motherhood.

He soon laid another egg — his joy was overwhelming.

As he was about to lay his third egg, he felt a smack on the back of his head, and heard his wife shout…..

"Dammit, Ralph! Wake up! You're shittin' in the bed!"
