Marilyn is a certified yoga instructor trained in 5 different styles such as; Iyengar, Bikram, Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow and Sivananda. Her experience also includes teaching prenatal yoga, yogassage, athletes, people with disabilities, and of all ages and levels, at studios, gyms, spas, hospitals and privates all over the South Florida area. She has been teaching yoga for 14 years, after her own practice changed her life – “Body, Mind and Spirit” – it led her to decide on becoming a yoga instructor herself, hoping to do the same for others. She is continuously attending seminars and workshops as a commitment to her growth as a yoga instructor. As balance is her primary focus, she believes in a strong…yet loving class where there is complete acceptance of yourself, taking your postures to your full potential, but always “listening to the inner voice and honoring it”.

Hi, I’m Dawn originally from Gloucestershire but now living in South Manchester. I have always had a passion for health and well-being and took my first aerobics class at the age of nineteen. I taught a wide variety of classes before I qualified as a Personal Trainer, this has given me many years of experience in how the body works and functions. After ending a career in teaching in further education I have put my skills and experience to further use in gaining my VTCT sports massage qualifications.
I listen to the needs of each client and adapt my massage techniques to suit them whether they require a deep tissue/sports massage or a more relaxing Swedish one. It is important to me that every client feels they have had a positive experience and that their condition has improved before they leave.
Dr. Dot was recommended to me by a colleague and I am very happy to have been accepted as part of the team.
I look forward to working with you!

I am specialized in the static as well as on the spine of the human body. For me it is important to treat the body holistically. For this reason, I offer a variety of different treatment methods like:
In addition, I am also a teacher of some of these methods. I teach people how they can treat themselves.
My clients appreciate my quiet nature as well as my hands so they get into new dimensions of deep relaxation.
see you soon!

My practice began intuitively in 1993 as a college student in New Orleans where I worked at a salon and developed a head, neck and shoulders technique that quickly gained popular attention. I began my formal training in MassageTherapy in 1996. I chose to begin my studies in Zen Shiatsu because it was the most organic of the treatments. After 720 hours of training at The Boston Shiatsu School, I continued my studies at the renowned Muscular Therapy Institute. This 900-hour program gave me an in depth look at anatomy and physiology and their relationship to our muscular system. By studying this system I learned how to treat the areas that hold stress and tension. By learning the patterns of the body I could unlock muscular tension by treating the whole muscle; not just the belly of the muscle, but the attachments, as well. I have a total of 1800 hours of training in massage therapy techniques. I am licensed in Massachusetts, Arizona and Hawaii, and I am nationally certified in Massage and Bodywork.
The next level of my training came through my actual practice. I realized that, just as in life, it is not about one or the other, but about complementary therapies. I combined Eastern Philosophy with Western Muscular Therapy and unified them through my hands. My sessions flow between one therapy and the other seamlessly. My goal is to achieve “oneness” during each session. My thoughts are completely focused on my clients’ needs. My clients tell me what their complaints are, and I open myself to listen through my hands.
This leads to intuitive impressions that I can share with my clients either during or after the session. There are two types of clients that I love. One is someone who has never had a massage before and the other is someone who has had lots of massages before. For the client who has never had a massage before, I want to perform at my best level, so they understand how powerful massage can be. For the client who has lots of massages, I want them to experience something unique.
Since 2001, I have been treating professional dancers with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Other clients have included professional athletes and other A-list celebrities. The culmination of my 21 years of experience has led me to this opportunity, and I am honored to be a member of Dr. Dot’s team.

I have practiced massage for over 15 years and continue to learn and evolve my treatment methodology. I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BA in Psychology and Studio Arts(1998), and left feeling that balanced health consisted of more than talk therapy. I continued my studies at the Aveda Institute(2001) in massage therapy, went on to intern with an Ayurvedic physician(2001), and followed that by intensive training at the Yoga Center(2007) for 2 levels of Thai massage. Most recently I went to Thailand to learn reflexology(2008) at the Old Medicine Hospital in Chiang Mai, and this past fall completed a certificate program at the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine(2012) in TuiNa, or Chinese Medical Massage.
I practice a blend of the modalities that I know, and am able to treat patients, seated, laying down, clothed, or unclothed. I utilize massage as a relaxation method and to treat specific conditions such as depression, migraines, menstrual irregularities, fatigue, and chronic joint pain, as well as digestive issues, in addition to smoothing and declunking troublesome muscle groups. Massage allows the body to engage in healing itself through unblocking energetic pathways and stimulating organ systems to increase or decrease their activity.
Traditionally, Thai massage is done in loose clothing on a mat on the floor, it stretches the body and works through the energy meridians of the body in order to create balance throughout. TuiNa targets aches and pains and specific medical conditions though a deep systematic terrain, and is based in Traditional Chinese Medical Theory, best known for acupuncture here in the west. Swedish and Esalan massage modalities are deeply relaxing, and productive in allowing a freer flow of energy throughout the body with the use of oil and long flowing strokes and moving pressure.
In addition to my wonder and practice with the body/mind/spirit, I am also a painter and muralist. I love to read about theology, mysticism, and philosophy and to form a greater understanding of our place in this world through people.
