Staind in Berlin on Super Bowl Sunday 2009
The Staind show was moved to Huxleys Neue Welt as they sold so many tix they were too big for the Columbia fritz club.
Aaron does NOT mind people filming their shows. He showed me loads of videos of his band on youtube and said I could film what he calls the "last song" as in, he comes out for the encore alone, with an acoustic guitar and sings without a microphone or amp, nothing, just singing. Takes a while to get the rowdy crowd to be quiet so they can hear him sing.. The song he is singing in this video is called "Intro"
STAIND "INTRO"
"thank you to the people in my life
for putting up with me
and thank you for the time you sacrificed
all on account of me
[chorus]
for all the times i didn't say
the times i didn't say
for all the times i didn't say
the times i didn't say
fuck you to the jaded and the fake
like to see what you would do
fuck you and the judgements you make
we're not all perfect just like you,
like you, like you
[chorus]
all the times i didn't say [x2]
thank you to the people in my life for putting up with me"
Aaron stood in the EXTREME cold weather for at least 45 minutes signing autographs for dedicated fans. I got fed up after ten minutes and waited on the bus, I can't stand that cold whipping post weather..brrrrrrrrrrrr Key West, I miss you so!
Once he got on the bus, the whole band, apart from the bassist and the crew all went to the Hard Rock Cafe to watch the Super Bowl.
Mike ^ the guitarist, me and drummer Jon and Fran, band video/photographer holding the Pittsburgh Steelers "terrible towel" lol
Mike HATED that towel as he was routin' for Arizona. Jon, Fran and a few others were for Pittsburgh. I didn't give a toss as I hate American Football. Too much padding and stop and go. I prefer Soccer and then Basketball. I don't get why they call it "Football"when they are allowed to use their hands. It's just plain padded Rugby. Padding is for pussies (and bras)
We were the loudest fucking group in the place. There was NO doubt in the German's minds we were all yanks. (one roadie was from the UK).
For-mentioned ^ roadie, Aaron and production manager/sound man/stage manager, erm, think his name is Scott? Matt? I am bad with names! I communicate mostly with the tour manager who stayed behind with the bassist. BAD WITH NAMES I am. sigh.
That's pretty much all I have in me to write. Hurricane Staind came to town for two days and I am BEAT. It was well worth the fatigue though
Massage in Tampa Florida
Hi everyone, I’m Suzanne a native Floridian, licensed for 18 years. My specialties include Neuromuscular Therapy, Reflexology, Sports Stretching, Myofascial Release, Corporate Chair, and Pregnancy Massage.
I grew up outdoors around water and was often called a hippie tomboy. I played many sports growing up and have a B.S. in Wellness Leadership from USF, Tampa. While there I excelled in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Athletic Injury Management, Personal Training, Lifeguarding, and Martial Arts. After graduating, I enrolled in Massage Therapy School.
For 4 years I dated a bar bouncer that worked at an awesome, yet intimate concert venue called Jannus Landing. I was blessed to see hundreds of shows and often had access to the VIP areas, interacting with some fabulous artists. That relationship ended but the dream of massaging bands began.
My first encounter with a musician happened in October 1991. The head security/manager for Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers chased after me, table in tow, after leaving a hotel job. He said I looked strong and then begged me to follow their bus to the Sundome, watch them perform backstage, and end up the hotel for an all-nighter. Did I hear him right? I worked until 5 am on Ziggy and several family members. I was 21, in awe and just got paid handsomely to help a favorite band. In 1997 I had the opportunity to work on Pantera; they were playing on UCF’s campus and needed massages before the show. I had never heard of them before but will never forget the experience. It rekindled my passion to work on musicians.
At the same time my career in Sports massage took off and I began collaborating with Doctors, Physical Therapists, and Chiropractors, specializing in Medical massage and Rehab Exercise. Over the span of my career I have worked on collegiate athletes, numerous Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Beach Volleyball Pros, Triathletes, Orlando Magic Players, Golfers, a RAAM rider, and even a Gator Wrestler!
My musical influences run the gamut. Long family car trips were spent listening to Barbara Streisand, Bette Midler, Neil Diamond and Kenny Rogers. My parents LOVE show tunes. My first concerts attended were Adam Ant and the Stray Cats. Soon after, Uncle Roger took us to see Bruce Springsteen at the Miami Rose Bowl, 4th row, Born in the USA tour! Need I say more? Some of my favorite artists include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ministry, Janes Addiction, Depeche Mode, The Police, U2, Bob Marley, Enigma, Sarah McLachlan, Seal, Dead Can Dance, Kitaro, R.Carlos Nakai, and MOST OF ALL the Dave Matthews Band.
I recently stumbled onto Dot’s website and I answered her call for Therapists in my area. I was honored to audition for her team and amazed to see my dream come to fruition. I can’t wait to meet you and spread the healing power of touch. I am able and willing to travel.
If you email me at info@drdot.com and put "Suzanne/FLA" in subject line, I will be able to set up an appointment for you. See you soon
