Book me:firstname.lastname@example.org and write: “Lyndsy/Housten” in subject line 🙂 Hi there! My name is Lyndsy and I would like to thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about me and the services I have to offer. I feel honored to have been selected to be a member of Dot’s team. Not very many people have had the privilege, as I have, to work on so many elite clients. From musicians and professional athletes to the little old lady down the street that needs a little pep in her step, every person on my table is treated first and foremost with respect. Every massage is customized for the individual, and is never the same as anybody else’s. My journey in life started in Riverside, California, but having a free spirit and a sense of adventure, my wandering across the United States has finally decided to make it’s last stop in Houston, Texas. Growing up, my mom and dad would always have me massage them. I love music, art, and nature. As a young child, helping people was always an interest of mine, now I am helping people. I graduated top in my class at GLIT medial careers in Erie, Pennsylvania in 2002 for massage therapy. I don’t just massage people, I dance with my hands. People sometimes ask me if I really like massage therapy, and I tell them no, that I love it. People look forward to seeing me, so I love going to work. Over the years I have taken many classes to build my career and grow as a person. Some of the techniques I perform are: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, and a little blend of all of the above. I am prenatal certified and can accommodate the needs of those expecting as well. With my strong, warm hands, positive attitude, and a pleasant demeanor, you will feel fabulous. To me, massage is art, and I want to paint the world.

She was born and raised in the Historic Heights district of Houston, where she continues to reside. Always an overachiever, she was accepted into the DeBakey High School for Health Professions in the Texas Medical Center. Thus, her high school experience was a little different from that of an ordinary high school student. During this time she was exposed to various medical rotations and preceptorships involving nurses, physical and music therapists, social workers, medical doctors, and even plastic surgeons. After four years of being surrounded by the healthcare professions, there was no other career path she could envision.
She continued her education at the University of St. Thomas, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts with concentrations in Biology and Theology. She was part of the Pre-Medical Program and actively participated in on-campus scientific research which later led to a position at the Methodist Hospital Research Institute and four published scientific articles.
She received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Texas Chiropractic College and obtained a second Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology. She completed internships at the Moody Health Center and was selected to participate in the Rice University Athletic Program, where she provided chiropractic care for student athletes. Her final off-campus preceptorship involved treating non-professional and professional athletes, including numerous NFL players and Olympic medalists.
She is licensed by the State of Texas to practice Chiropractic and Acupuncture. As of December 2012, she has also been licensed as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner.

Some years ago I went on a quest for creativity. My journey began at the Art’s High School in central Minnesota where I had the opportunity to share dance, music, visual art, and photography with a collection of young artists. I began performing with a small group of modern dancers, the energy of these performances was incredible, but I will never forget how sore my body felt after shows, new stages, and rehearsals! Wow, I had so much appreciation for massage therapy!
Soon after, I studied at Northwestern where my passion in anatomy and physiology became clear. I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2003, and love being able to share this great work with others! I specialize in Deep Tissue, and Lomi Lomi (Hawaiian Massage). This type of bodywork is a wonderful blend of deep specific therapy, and circulation massage. If you have neck, shoulder and back tension: I’m your gal!
Being a part of Dr. Dot’s dynamic team is such a treat! I am looking forward to supporting you on your next tour!
I thought my book was done, then we went to Hawai‘i and the whole last chapter happened.
