Hello, I’m Dr. Scott, Chiropractor from Nassau County, Long Island in New York. I have offices in both Queens and Long Island. Ever since I was a kid, rubbing my dads shoulders after a hard days work, I knew I wanted to make the body feel better. Then, at 8 years old, I felt my first chiropractic adjustment which would then place me on a path which allows hundreds of my patients to be pain free.
Upon completing my Bachelors degree with a concentration in Animal Anatomy and Physiology from Towson University in Maryland I continued my education at Palmer Chiropractic College in Florida, where I received my Doctorate of Chiropractic. Afterwards, I became certified in Medical Acupuncture to further my knowledge of the natural ways to heal the human body.
I’ve always had a passion for two things: Holistic healing and music. My experience being a regular gigging bassist for long hours performing on stage has made me experienced in the specific muscles and ligaments which are in constant strain, as well as other ones which are weak due to deactivation. I manipulate and relieve fixations within the spine by a variety of techniques, including Diversified Technique, Activator Methods and Cox Fexion/Distraction. Extremity and spinal soft tissue (muscle and ligament) manipulations are done by utilizing Graston and Active Release Technique. In conditions that include any type of psychological stress I’m currently applying color therapy as well as music therapy with my patients.
I take pride in my competency and consistent results in the relief of virtually any musculoskeletal pain. You will never play your instrument smoother and feel better on stage than how you will after my treatment.

Good Day ,
With the right treatment , we can rejuvenate you, release the tension, and make you feel like you are walking on layers of soft, perfectly synchronized ball bearings. At least that is how one of my patients described their treatments. The objective is to tune you up so you are working closer to original manufacturers’ specifications, and your body heals itself. It’s all about knowing which keys or strings to tighten or loosen so all of your body parts resonate in harmony. I’ve spent many hours learning along with teaching. It’s a pretty rewarding way to be of service. Formal education in chiropractic was from Palmer College of Chiropractic Iowa , and graduated in 2003 with an emphasis in Sports Medicine, which also gave me a Meritorious Service Award for Sports Council. Prior to attending Palmer, I worked my way from being a trainer in Health Clubs in Chicago to managing them. 5 star 5 diamond resorts and spas have employed me as a valet, bellman, waiter, and bartender, so I understand what it is like to work back to back shifts for weeks without a break, and give outstanding service with a smile. The show must go on. Had I not found a great chiropractor and exquisite Massage Therapists, I could not enjoy my free time without pain today. It’s a skill I can pass on to others who need it, and everybody needs it sometime. Depending on what you need , A.R.T., myofascial release, trigger point therapy, PNF stretching , and other modalities are incorporated to work synergistically with the adjustments to your back and neck, along with knees, shoulders, wrists, feet, etc. , returning your optimum potential. Some patients need a lot soft tissue work, in addition to the adjustments. Patients have included professional bodybuilders, world class professional wake boarders, and competitive runners to keep them on their game. Youngest patient was 2 weeks. I look forward to being of service for you , keeping you tuned up for all your adventures to come. Thank you, Dr. Matt Dr. Dot Therapy LLC
To book me please email email@example.com and write “Dr. Marty/Long Island/New York“ in the subject line 🙂
Hi, I am Dr. Martin. Better known as Dr. Marty. I have been a licensed and registered Doctor of Chiropractic since 1992. Since that time I have been in private practice on Long Island, NY. I have always practiced diversified technique, with emphasis on maintaining flexibility through various stretching programs and techniques. I take pride in patient care and compliance to treatment protocols.
I am also a Registered Pharmacist and have been practicing pharmacy since 1982. I went to Chiropractic school because I wanted to find a more holistic approach to healthcare without the overuse of antibiotics and prescriptive medication that only treats symptoms and never addresses the true cause of a particular ailment. Further, I presently work with an elite boys under 18 soccer team. I provide medical care and have implemented a flexibility training program for the team. Flexibility is extremely important in remaining injury free, whether playing sports, working back-stage, or even performing on stage in concert. With flexibility comes strength and in recognition of this, I design job -specific flexibility programs allowing one to physically perform at his/her full potential.
In over 20 years of practice I have treated many conditions including neck and back pain, chronic headaches, jaw pain, as well as patients having pain in both the upper and lower extremities. I have also successfully treated shoulder, wrist, and hand injuries as well as hip, knee, ankle, and foot. I regularly attend continuing education seminars and remain up-to-date on the latest treatment protocols. I have had the opportunity to offer preventative care as well as lecture on the use of herbal preparations offering a more holistic approach to treatment and prevention of disease.
Finally, I love all kinds of music. I have studied music and played the drums since I was 6 years old. I am honored to be a member of Dr. Dot’s chiropractic team. I look forward to having the opportunity to treat you thereby allowing you to feel better and perform to your fullest potential pain free!!
