Aloha! My name is Leia (like “Princess Leia” from Star Wars). I used to be your favorite Los Angeles DotBot, but now reside in the Live Music Capitol of the World, Austin. I have been with Dr. Dot since June 2010 and I positively love this job! I fell in love with massage therapy at the tender age of 15, when I volunteered to massage for the IronMan World Triathlon in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. After 6 hours of massaging tri-athletes from around the world, I got a crash course in what it takes. It was a very gratifying experience.
I am trained in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Sports, and Pregnancy massage modalities. I work closely along chiropractors, professional athletes, and rehab patients on a daily basis. I am strong and have a passion to heal. Originally from Hawaii, I bring the Aloha Spirit and pass it on to you.
Active as an International Pin-Up Model & Burlesque Performer, Leia is the sister of a professional heavy metal drummer, the sister of a professional hula dancer and beauty queen, and the daughter of a rockin’ helicopter pilot sprung from the Vietnam War. I, myself, have a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre and have been singing since the age of 10.

Having had chronic pain from poor posture, I sought out many different varieties of healing modalites from massage and yoga to posture therapy. This created a love for movement, somatics and a desire to help others out of pain. I started my career path in therapeutic deep tissue and Thai massage after graduating from the International Professional School of Bodywork in San Diego in 2006 with over 1000 hours of training. Having studied yoga for over a decade, I became certified in 2009 upon realizing the healing effect this exercise had, both alone, and in conjunction with massage. Still yearning for a deeper understanding of how posture is related to pain, I continued on at The Structural Integration Institute, graduating in 2012 with a certification in Alignment Therapy. My vast knowledge of posture and healing allows me to approach the body with a more versatile eye. My goal is to not only rid people of pain, but also to educate and empower them to become an active part in this process.

To book me please email firstname.lastname@example.org and write “Brianne/SanFrancisco/California“ in the subject line 🙂
My name is Brianne and I have been a massage therapist for almost seven years now. Between working on cruise ships, in golf resort spas, in a medical massage therapy office, at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, and handling private events and out-call, my career in massage therapy has led me around the world. The only thing that has been missing as part of my dream is to work with entertainers and maybe even sports teams one day. That’s where you come in! Being on the road constantly, and performing day in and day out can put a strain on you physically and mentally. A relaxing massage or a deep tissue therapeutic massage is just what you need!
I have been trained in several modalities, but I most consistently perform medium to deep pressured massage. Working chair massage in the casinos and at the poker tournament really has given me the opportunity to practice working for long periods of time using good pressure. I promise if you give me the chance to work with you, you’ll leave feeling like a new person!
I love to travel and have been to around 20 countries and have spent a lot of time recently making my way around the United States. I earned my degree in Psychology prior to becoming a massage therapist and really enjoy talking to people and getting to know people from different walks of life. Variety and challenge is something I am always seeking. I recently moved from San Diego to the San Jose area to pursue different career opportunities. I am willing to work anywhere within about an hour’s distance from San Jose, including Santa Cruz, San Francisco and the east bay area. I am currently only available on the weekends but would love to work with you any chance I can! Happy travels and I hope to see you soon!
