Steve Miller Band

My massage team has been massaging SMB for almost 3 years and this is the first time I got to meet and massage him. He was SO nice and when he walked into the massage room he was so full of praise, saying so many kind things, like "you got a great team, you run a tight ship, all of your girls have been terrific, I feel so much better on tour with them massaging me, etc.

He told me SO many amazing stories during his two hour massage- told me about hanging out with Hendrix and headlining for the Grateful Dead (the dead opened, then SMB played then Jimi- wow!) he also played a show once in Minnesota where Alice Cooper opened for them and said it was one of Alice's first show and how the crowd didn't know how to react with Alice. He just ate dinner the other night with Alice and told me just for fun they traded watches (they both collect them). He is just a nice guy, wow.

The show was, to my surprise, 90% BLUES!! He played Come On (which in my opinion was made famous by Jimi Hendrix) and many other great blues tunes- naturally he played his hits but you can tell he would just enjoy playing blues all night 🙂

Check out his web site:

SOME of Steve's guitars on the side of the stage. There were so many I couldn't fit them all into one picture. He is the only guitarist in the band fyi

Know any Zappafanatics on the west coast. Forward, away!

Another one bites the dust (YET another Frank Zappa alumni leaves Zappa plays Zappa)

Napi and the rest quit after an insulting offer of getting half of what they were being paid for on their 2nd tour, so they left and I guess that is what is happening again? The Zappa Family Trust simply must learn, you can not fight all the fans, alumni and Zappa tribute bands/ festivals and do well. Like they say “if you can't beat em, join em”. Why not have Zappa Plays Zappa headline a touring Zappa festival in which all Frank Zappa

Kid “ROCKS” New York City

It is 9:30 am and I am STILL UP! NYC is sucking all the juice and energy out of me but I am getting a lot done. Too much I guess. I don't have the time/energy to write a full blog right now, but Kid Rock was in town because he sang with the Allman brothers Friday night at the Beacon Theater. He texted me the next morning for a massage. I was fast asleep but got back to him a bit later as you can see below. What a HILARIOUS guy he is. OMFG. Down to earth, generous, polite and funny as FUCK. Anyhow, I will try to write more soon, but I have to get my ass to bed.

ps. My German cell has only rang twice since I have been here. When I land in Berlin, it takes a couple WEEKS to get back into the loop, get my friends and clients going again. In NYC, I am not even out of the fucking plane and my blackberry is practically on fire from too many calls, texts, emails. I am immediately back in the loop/swing of things. Clearly the best place for me to be for my career/business is NYC. I do love Berlin too, but omg, I will never decide. going to bed for real this time. Surprised
